Rose-
What wonderful pictures. I think that I respond even more to pictures than to words. I wish that I could see that tree in person. You are so lucky to see temples. Maybe we could go back sometime together?
hey justine!
get blog writing and great pix.
just had another great dinner with your parents at our house. we missed you (and jack).
i heard you went to the Great Wall at Simotai (sp?) and slid down the rusty cable over the water! but first traversed treacherous degrading walls, rock and then a rusty bridge.
I did that as well! seems to me that bridge and cable were old old old! i made sure a big fat person went ahead of me to make sure it would hold up! I also had some chinese girl follow me for 4 hours on the Wall, just so i might by a photo book - which i did, felt sorry for her as she had to walk 4 hours back! I had a ride. gave her $10! i heard that ewas about a month wages for her - good payday!
I have been to Beijing about 4 times and have lots of funny stories. what an amazing place - ultra old with the ultra new! hope all is well. br, Glenn
